Elana Jagoda is a cantorial soloist, music educator, performer and composer who brings soul and innovation to Jewish music. She adds new dimensions to this music genre by blending her energetic folk-rock vibe with her passion for world music. Elana infuses a unique spiritual quality into the music she brings to both performance and prayer. Elana released her first solo album, Zum Gali Gali, last year. She revamped classic Jewish family songs with a funky-modern flavor. It was a smash hit and Zum Gali Gali was selected as one of seven CDs to be distributed nationally to families with young children through the PJ Library program.
Elana plays rocking family concerts with her Zum Gali band at synagogues, JCCs, and Jewish festivals. Elana has also worked in more traditional roles in the Jewish community as a song leader and early childhood music specialist. She currently serves as the full-time cantorial soloist at Peninsula Temple Beth El in San Mateo, California. Watch our for new releases on her website.
